It is important to note that, while there are only two types of companion urn styles currently offered, they are available in countless materials and shapes. They may also be personalized with metal name plates or custom engraving and may also be embellished with emblems or artwork to appropriately memorialize the companionship you shared.
If you know that a great deal of time will pass between you and your companion, you might consider keeping your loved one's cremated remains in his or her own personal urn and then plan to be joined together at a later date for burial. This may be accomplished by purchasing a single urn for your loved one and a single urn for yourself.
